On 24 August, Saturday, the First National Meeting of Household Appliance repairers was held in Jászberény, organised by APPLiA Hungary. The tradition-making event was hosted by the Szent József Catholic Electronics Technical School.

The APPLiA Hungary Association was introduced to the participants by Fanni Mészáros, the company manager. Afterwards, Péter Halász, the school’s director and APPLiA Hungary’s adult education expert, gave a presentation on the present and future of the training of technicians in the field of household appliances and services. Finally, Tamás Madarász spoke about the new APPLiA Certified Mechanic training programme, which he has dreamed up and which will be launched in September.

The presentations were followed by a lunch together, and in the afternoon a playful professional quiz and a discussion of specific professional challenges.

The professional meeting, with nearly a hundred participants, was a milestone in the long-term support of the domestic appliance installer profession and activity, and in fostering collegial cooperation.

In September we will continue with the implementation of new plans. And in a year’s time, we will hold our second national meeting!

Special thanks to Tamás Madarász and Peter Halász for organising the event and Donát Kékesi – Photography for the great photos!
